Understanding Organizations

What is an Organization?

A completely isolated workspace for your events and team

  • Each organization is a separate tenant in the system
  • Has its own events, guests, team members, and settings
  • Data is completely isolated between organizations
  • Perfect for agencies managing multiple clients
  • Or companies with different departments/brands

Creating a New Organization

Click Organization Switcher

Access the organization menu in header

  • Look at the top header of your dashboard
  • Find the organization name with dropdown arrow
  • Click to open the organization menu
  • You'll see current org and "Create New" option

Select "Create New Organization"

Start the organization creation process

  • Click "Create New Organization" at bottom of menu
  • A modal form will appear
  • You can also access this from Settings

Fill Organization Details

Configure your new organization

  • Organization Name (required): Your company/brand name
  • Description: Brief description of the organization
  • Website: Your organization's website URL
  • Industry: Select from dropdown (Events, Corporate, etc.)
  • Size: Number of employees (optional)
  • Logo: Upload organization logo (recommended)

Configure Initial Settings

Set up basic preferences

  • Timezone: Set default timezone for events
  • Date format: Choose date display format
  • Currency: Select default currency
  • Language: Set organization language
  • These can be changed later in settings

Create and Switch

Finalize and enter your new organization

  • Click "Create Organization" button
  • You'll automatically switch to the new org
  • Start fresh with no events or team members
  • You become the Owner of this organization
  • Can immediately start creating events

Best Practices

Organization Structure

Create organizations based on billing entities. Use teams within orgs for departments.

Access Control

Assign minimum necessary roles. Use Viewer role for stakeholders who only need visibility.

Subscription Planning

Choose per-org billing for client work, account-wide for internal use.

Team Management

Regularly audit team members. Remove access promptly when people leave.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I transfer events between organizations?

No, events cannot be moved between organizations due to data isolation. You would need to recreate the event in the new organization.

How many organizations can I create?

This depends on your subscription plan. Starter allows 1, Professional allows 5, and Enterprise allows unlimited organizations.

Can team members belong to multiple organizations?

Yes! A single user account can be a member of multiple organizations with different roles in each.

Who pays for the subscription?

The organization owner is responsible for billing. Each organization has its own subscription and payment method.

Can I delete an organization?

Only the owner can delete an organization. This action is permanent and will delete all events, guests, and data associated with that organization.
